To go with crab cheesecake, a nice white Chardonnay. Beringer has a nice one at roughly $12, or something from New Zealand at $10-12
For lamb, try Bordeaux, ranging from $13 to one of his bottles of Petrus that costs in excess of $500.

Dan brought four sparkling wine tasters for us to check out for New Year's. All were gorgeous. First a Brut champagne, Martini and Rossi Asti. Next two Champagne Pomerys - a Rosé and a plain - these were dry champagnes. Last was a somewhat less formal Verdi Raspberry Sparkletini, which made Chef laugh but impressed him with its taste.
