June 21 - Sopapillas and Tres Leches cake along with the margarita tasting. June 20 - Chef brings a breakfast dish - chili relleno casserole. Superb. June 14 - Plantain recipes. June 13 - Chef has a tribute to Jamaica in jerk chicken and rum cake. May 24, '08 Chef Palooza cooked a picnic the day before, with bourbon chicken and Rebecca's Baked Beans. Today he has various bruschetta toppings for quick and easy snacks. May 10, '08 - Chef had in mind that tomorrow is Mother's Day, and presented recipes for kids who want to make breakfast. First was Yumm-o Eggs, about the simplest and safest way to make eggs, so long as a child knows how to use the half-power feature of the microwave and an oven mitt. Next was Stuffed French Toast, made with cream cheese and raisin bread - a sure winner.
On Mar. 22, Chef provided all sorts of burritos, from breakfast to dessert. Here is also one of his other favorites, not presented on the show, grilled pineapple slices, which is too yummy to leave out.
On Mar. 15, Chef celebrated the upcoming St. Patrick's day by presenting a long-time favorite of his, Irish Stew with Lamb and Guiness. He was kind enough to bring a spare pot for Jeremy to take home!
Chef presented Carnitas Tacos on Mar. 1, along with his favorite recipes for salsa and taco seasoning.
On Feb. 9, Chef had an English guest, Karen Brown, who brought along Sausage Rolls and Scotch Eggs. Jeremy could hardly contain himself.
On Feb. 2, Chef Palooza presented some recipes to help out with Super Bowl entertaining. They included Super Bowl Chili with Cajun Seasoning, Smoked Salmon Spread, and Submarine Finger Sandwiches.
Chef's recipe on Jan. 26 was a skinny chicken tortilla soup - skinny calorie- and fat-wise, that is, not flavor-wise.
Where Chef was on Jan. 19 is a bit of a mystery, but he wasn't giving us any recipes.
On Dec. 8, we have two recipes for breakfast: Winter Morning Breakfast Strata, and Mike's Pancakes. Jeremy, Dale and Chef Palooza munched their way through the cheese, bread, sausage, cream, broccoli and so on of the breakfast strata, which they paired with bread from Wheatfields and wine from the Cork and Barrel as the show went on.
On Dec. 1, Chef Palooza (who is this guy, really?) had the most delicious hot cocoa you can make. He also showed up with a peanut brittle recipe from his grandmother, and peanut brittle for sampling that kept Jeremy and Dale happily crunching for the rest of the hour.
Chef Palooza had three exciting recipes for leftover turkey in the Nov. 24, 2007 show: Turkey and Cheese Sandwich (dipped in egg, like a Monte Cristo), Chile Rellano Casserole, and Turkey Dog Food (meant for Fido, but we don't see anything a human wouldn't like!)
Oops, didn't get to the Chile Rellano Casserole on air, but the recipe is here anyway.
